Ymarferion cyfieithu i'r Gymraeg

Mae'r ymarferion cyfieithu hyn yn gyfle i chi roi cynnig ar gyfieithu rai o gyn bapurau arholiad a chyn ddarnau yr e-weithdy cyfieithu Sylfaenol i'r Gymraeg y Gymdeithas.

Cyfarwyddiadau

Cam 1: Darllenwch y darn Saesneg yn ofalus gan roi sylw arbennig i'w gywair. Gallwch ei argraffu os yw'n well gennych ddarllen copi papur.

Cam 2: Ewch ati i'w gyfieithu gan geisio cyflawni'r dasg mewn awr. Peidiwch â defnyddio adnoddau heblaw'r rhai a fydd ar gael ichi yn yr arholiad cofiwch na fyddwch, felly, yn gallu defnyddio'r we.

Cam 3: Golygwch eich cyfieithiad yn ofalus a thrylwyr. Bydd rhai pobl yn teimlo y gallant olygu testun ar bapur yn well na thestun ar sgrin.
Pan fyddwch yn cyfieithu, dylech feddwl am y pedair elfen arholi: Ystyr, Cywair, Cystrawen, Cywirdeb. Mae'r rhain yn elfennau cyfleus i fesur safon eich cyfieithu ond cofiwch fod gorgyffwrdd weithiau rhwng yr elfennau hyn. Holwch eich hunan ynghylch y canlynol:

  1. Ystyr: ydych chi wedi deall y pwnc a chyfleu'r holl wybodaeth yn gywir?
  2. Cywair: ydych chi wedi dewis y geiriau, y termau a'r priod-ddulliau addas i'r cyd-destun?
  3. Cystrawen: ydych chi wedi trefnu a chydlynu'ch brawddegau yn ystyrlon a chrefftus?
  4. Cywirdeb: ydych chi wedi cymryd gofal o ran sillafu, treiglo, morffoleg, y cysylltnod, atalnodi ac acenion

Cam 4: Edrychwch ar y darn gwreiddiol eto a sylwch ar y sylwadau a'r awgrymiadau a wnaed i wella rhai o'r cyfieithiadau a dderbyniwyd. O'u darllen, gofynnwch sut y byddech chi'n asesu eich cyfieithiad chi.
