Mared Elin Llwyd
- Basic Member - translation into Welsh
I started my career as a translator and editor whilst working as an Editorial Assistant at the Cambrian News offices in Aberystwyth, before moving on to work as a Translator and Editorial Assistant for the Farmers' Union of Wales for three years. After studying for a PGCE qualification at Aberystwyth University I've worked as a primary school teacher and Head of Key Stage Two for the past twelve years, as well as being a freelance translator and editor. I have vast experience of translating for various companies in the fields of education, health, politics, nature, marketing and PR, and I've adapted or translated numerous fictional and factual children and young people's books from English to Welsh as well as writing original Welsh books. I currently continue to combine work as a teacher and freelance translator/editor.
